Are You Team Harry?

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was a great movie. For a second, I observed the ties between Harry's peers. A tween took on evil by rebelling and listening to others. It reminds me of what all of us do and what I did when I was younger.

A Different Hero.

My friends always comment in my weird taste for women and wild imagination. I can't help it, I enjoy stretching reality and trying new things. For class, I was asked to form a "Anti-hero" or something different. Once again, my wild imagination not only help create an interesting character but a very rich storyline.

A Freethinker's View: Good versus Evil

The Lord of the Rings reminds us of the constant fight between good and evil. "Doing good will come back to us while evil will give you a straight ticket to hell!" or so the Sunday preacher says. Naturally, this theme is often associated with one's daily struggles, career and even faith. Unlike the *85% of this country , I have no faith and refuse to believe in any higher hierarchy (read: religion). So, as a secular humanist, what should I make out of this?

Is Greed Justified?

Christmas Carol posed a question of being conservative and liberal. If you earned something, how much should you give to others? Even better, should you even give in the first place?

Transformation

As I read Frankenstein, I questioned one's character. Sure, anyone is born in different families but should your values come from your family, yourself, friends or all?

The American Outside of Me.

As I ate my chicken lasagna, I contemplated my reflection in my room's mirror. My parents were gone and my dogs were playing outside, leaving me alone in my room with my mirror. I smiled at myself and could not believe the transformation I undertook in the past five years. It's as if those five years were a new childhood.

Double Me?

I always thought what people think of me on the stage. Do I look different? Do I feel different to your mind? But after the performance is over I'm the same and that grumpy and fictional character of me is gone forever. Acting is refreshing and really awakens your senses. I don't think I'll be an author and neither will I be a designer.
